The Next Chapter of Nomadico Arc: What We've Been Working On

The Next Chapter of Nomadico Arc: What We've Been Working On - Nomadico Arc

A lot can change between an idea and the moment you finally have something physical in your hands.

When we first introduced Nomadico Arc, the vision was simple: create a backpack that could move between everyday life, travel and adventure without feeling out of place in any of them.

Since then, we've been turning that idea into something real.

From Concept to the Nomad Pack

The Nomad Pack V1 started with a simple question:

What would a backpack look like if it was designed for the way we actually move?

Not just for the airport. Not just for the office. Not just for the trail.

Something that could carry a laptop into the city on Friday, head onto a plane that evening and still feel at home somewhere completely different the next morning.

Getting there has involved a lot more than putting a logo on a backpack.

We've been refining the design, testing materials, making decisions about construction and working through the details that aren't always obvious when you first see a product.

Seeing the First Sample

There's something different about seeing a product you've designed physically for the first time.

On a screen, everything can look right.

In your hands, you notice everything.

The proportions. The materials. The way the bag opens. How the hardware feels. How the fabric sits. Which details work exactly as intended — and which ones need another look.

That first sample gave us the opportunity to see the Nomad Pack as a real product rather than just an idea.

And, as you'd expect, it wasn't perfect.

That's part of the process.

Making the Details Better

One of the biggest parts of building Nomadico Arc has been learning that the smallest decisions can make the biggest difference.

We've spent time refining the materials and construction of the Nomad Pack, including the fabric, hardware, zips and branding.

We chose a durable polyester-nylon construction for the exterior and embroidery for the Nomadico Arc logo, giving the pack a clean finish that fits the direction of the brand.

Inside, the organisation is designed around the things you're likely to carry every day.

There's a separate padded laptop compartment for laptops up to 16 inches, a hidden passport pocket and quick-access storage for essentials.

The top-opening design keeps packing straightforward, while the magnetic quick clasp makes opening and closing the bag quick and intuitive.

None of these details are there simply to add another feature to a specification sheet.

They all come back to the same question:

Does this make the journey better?

Taking the Nomad Pack Out Into the World

A backpack designed for movement needs to be seen moving.

We've started taking the Nomad Pack outside the studio and into real environments — from everyday settings to travel.

That has meant photographing it in different places, experimenting with content and seeing how the product feels within the environments we're designing it for.

It's important to us that Nomadico doesn't feel like a brand that only exists in a product photograph.

The Nomad Pack was designed for journeys.

So that's where we want to show it.

Building More Than a Backpack

The product is only one part of what we're building.

Since the first idea for Nomadico Arc, we've been developing the wider identity around it — from the website and photography to the way we talk about travel, movement and adventure.

The goal isn't to create another outdoor brand or another travel luggage company.

It's to build something that sits somewhere in between.

A brand for people who move between different parts of life.

Work and weekends.

Cities and mountains.

Routine and the next adventure.

Learning as We Go

Building a physical product from scratch has been a learning process.

There are decisions you can't fully understand until you've made them.

Things that look perfect in a specification can feel different in reality. Details you thought would be minor can suddenly become important. And sometimes the best decision is to go back and change something rather than simply accepting it.

That's one of the reasons we're taking the time to get the Nomad Pack right.

We're not interested in adding features for the sake of it.

We're interested in making something we'd genuinely want to take with us.

What's Next?

The Nomad Pack V1 is the beginning.

There's still a lot we want to explore — more journeys, more content, more ideas and eventually more products.

But for now, we're focused on getting the Nomad Pack out into the world and seeing where it goes.

Because ultimately, a travel product shouldn't just sit on a shelf.

It should be used.

It should get thrown into the back of a car, carried through an airport, taken onto a train, used on a weekend away and become part of the journeys it's designed for.

That's the next chapter for Nomadico Arc.

The first pack is here.

Now we want to see where you take it.

One Bag. Every Journey.
